This week we are celebrating National Day (国庆节), which is the Chinese July 4th for all you Americans out there.  Because of this, we have a week off from classes… but not totally off from work.  Monday and Tuesday have been totally free; today I did incredibly important things like watch all three of the Godfather movies back to back.  (The first: incredible.  The second: the plot’s a little confusing.  The third: I’m not sure I cared by this point.)  Tomorrow we step back into work mode, as Sarah and I will be joining the staff in flying to Beijing for our annual teacher’s conference.  While busy, it’s also at a nice hotel with great western breakfasts and an indoor/0utdoor pool, so it’s worth the trip.  We leave our apartment at 6.45 tomorrow morning, so it’s time to head to bed…
