The Middle School students are away on their Spring trip, arriving back in Chengdu tonight, and the weather here yesterday and today has been outstanding.  These two things have led to beautiful, quieter school days. 

One interesting fact about China: they shamelessly use melodies familiar in American culture for random instrumental pieces, heard in department stores and outside.  For example, we hear familiar Christmas melodies year-round!  The unfortunate thing: while riding to school this morning, I heard a water truck (watering plants along the sides of the road) playing (out of tune) the melody to “My Heart will go on.”  That’s going to be stuck in my head the rest of the day…
