So the reconnaissance mission last night was a sucess! The rumors have been substantiated; we have seen it with our own eyes! Chengdu does indeed have a Starbucks, and it will start brewing in 13 days!! 😀 Dan & Nate (a fellow teacher) were thrilled, and I have to say that I’m pretty excited too. I just had fun watching their boyish excitement grow as we got closer. Faces pressed against the taxi window, practically running across the overpass… fun times. We also found some of the best ice cream I’ve had yet here, and discovered that Batman Begins will be out in English next month! All in all, a great night.
