I had the idea to include thoughts I’m having at the time on this site; if you are interested in reading, go ahead; you can read all of them under the “thoughts” category.  If not, feel free to move on…The 2008 presidental race has already begun with a vengance, and though I probably won’t delve into a thorough understanding of the candidates until I can vote in time (my absentee ballot for the 2006 primaries arrived 2 days after they took place), I thought it would be interesting to find out how transparent the major candidates are about the issues of the day.  The results are telling.  Barack Obama has a well-developed list of issues, along with credentials from his time in the Senate.  Rudy Guiliani’s list is there, but compared to Obama is lacking in depth; they are short paragraphs.  He also draws on changes he made in New York as foundation for his presidency.  McCain’ list is between these two in length, having much more on his views than Rudy but not as much as Obama.  The shocking discovery: I could not find a list of views on the issues anywhere on Hillary Clinton’s site.  Her biography gives some information on the issues through her time on the Senate, but it leaves me wanting much more…

This is not a statement of support for anyone, but if I had to vote for one of the top four based on how transparent they are about their views on their websites, Sen. Obama would be the winner, and Hillary wouldn’t stand a chance.
