We were at the Great Wall yesterday – incredible! We took a tram up to the top, then hiked to the next three towers. Hundreds and hundreds of steps! Dan was saying that although the tourists there were of different languages, we all understood each other at the top, because we were all red-faced and breathing hard! Coming down the mountain was fun. They had an alpine slide – kind of a luge. We each had a sled that we could control the speed of as we went down. We were going pretty quickly until we caught up with some slower tourists about halfway down. 🙂 Today begins the orientation. We have a few meetings to introduce us to the culture. It’s fun to be back with all our new friends from our time at Houghton.
